Academic Life Coaching for Teens
Empowering Students. Supporting Parents. Building Lifelong Skills.
Does this sound like you?
You feel overwhelmed or lost about the future.
You want more confidence and direction.
You crave a space where your voice matters.
Welcome to the messy middle,
that often overwhelming space between 6th and 10th grade where everything
feels new, uncertain, and constantly shifting.
Whether your child is starting middle school, navigating the transition to high school, or somewhere in between, these years are filled with both growth and challenge. As academic expectations rise and social dynamics shift, students and parents alike
can feel like they’re barely keeping up.
You’re not alone, and neither is your child.

What is Academic Life Coaching?
Academic Life Coaching bridges the gap between where your child is today and the confident,
capable version of themselves they are becoming.
As a certified coach, I help students:
Build executive functioning skills like planning, organizing, time management, and emotional regulation.
Develop accountability and self-awareness so they can begin to take ownership of their learning and life.
Create sustainable systems and habits that work for them — not just their parents or teachers.
Communicate effectively with educators, peers, and even you, their parent.
Connect current habits to future goals so they stay motivated with a long-term vision.
These middle and early high school years are critical.
Students are forming the habits and mindsets they will carry into adulthood and they’re not always
equipped with the tools to do it alone.
Let’s face it: teaching your own child how to manage their time or organize their homework can often lead to tension,
tears, or power struggles. That’s where I come in.
I’m here to help your student develop these life skills in a supportive, non-judgmental space — while also giving you, the parent, the space to reconnect with your own identity and time.
What Makes Coaching Different From Tutoring?
Tutors help students understand subject matter.
I help students understand themselves.
Through coaching, your student won’t just get through the week, they’ll develop tools they can carry into adulthood.
This isn’t about surviving school. It’s about thriving in life.
What Are Executive Function Skills?
These are the foundational mental skills that help us plan, organize, start tasks, and stay focused.
They include:
Working memory
Inhibitory control
Planning and prioritizing
Many students struggle with one or more of these.
Through coaching, we identify your child’s strengths and challenges, then build solutions that stick.
